I'm usually underwhelmed at the platitudes people offer up whenever someone succumbs to this horrible disease. Every single one is "brave" and is engagesd in a "battle". My guess is that most sufferers are bricking it and wondering "why me?" I know I would be. But this time DTJ's interview proves that real courage applies in spades in her case - she's an inspiration. "I'm not afraid".

She was my local M.P. for well over 20 years (Dulwich and West Norwood) and she did a very good job for the area and was held in very high regard by most people. I wish her well and hope she recovers from that terrible condition.

What puzzled me with this is the interview she gave with Nick Robinson when she stated she had no symptoms whatsoever???
Well if thats the case how did she get diagnosed.?? Unless she was looking to shield the NHS from every Tom /Dick and Harry running to them with the slightest headache. In any case I wish her well with this horrible disease |

Could have showed up in her blood when she gave a blood sample for some other test. Which is what happened to a friend of mine. |

I've just read that Paul Young's wife Stacy Smith has just passed away with the same condition that Tessa Jowell has, aged 52. No age whatsoever
