Why are army top brass telling the world about our weaknesses?

Will have been sent there by the defence dept to bang the drum for a bigger budget. The Russians probably know as much about our forces as he does tbf.

I would venture to suggest that the Russian military know more than most of our top brass...

Hush hush, loose lips sink ships etc etc...

One major problem imo is if we went to war how would we produce the tanks,ships etc that we need not having any steel mills left ! Another reason to keep our nuclear deterrent

Is it really news that Russia would beat UK in a war?

They'd have to get to us first, I'm sure the French would perform valiantly

There is absolutely no way that Russia would beat NATO in a war. They would not even consider starting one.

By NATO I presume you mean the US ? If it was a conventional war I cant see mainland Europe
putting up much of a fight.

The British people may have more in common with Russia than our own givernment or those of other European countries

Russia's history shows it almost always loses in war against major powers

There are only two countries who have never lost a war Israel and America

We seem to forget that other countries have lost wars within living memory and been under foreign occupation
Countries like France and Germany , that is losing a war

Walk around some cities in the UK and you would be forgiven for thinking that we had lost a war ....and nobody told us about it

Threatening the public with a bogey man stopped working a long time ago.
