Sad news. Very much enjoyed his presence on Radio 5 over the years. He did indeed sound like a very nice man Kenny.

check out 5live radio at 10pm for an excellent interview Mark Pougatch did with him last year talking about his life - an excellent listen

Only seen a clip on sky sports news but looked like he could play in todays game as he cud attack with speed, and no doubt he could tackle also unlike some of the fannys running about now

Listened to the interview with Mark Pougatch today and totally agree with Smirnoff.
Very interesting views and stories from an intelligent man, and a good insight into football from a previous generation.
Hope the FA see fit to pay proper tribute to the man at the weekend.

In answer to Kennys question I'm guessing 18.
Moore, Ball obviously but guessing a couple from the squad.

I meant from the 22 England and Germany players who appeared in the 66 final.

The answer is 18 as it happens, 9 left from each team.

Sadly , more of England's 70 squad have passed away than the 66 squad.
Hughes, Labone, Newton,Astle from 70, Armfield and Eastham from 66 (Moore and Ball from both) Sad
