Are you desperate Dan?
Don't be daft. There's always something you can do without having to work. Do what you want whenever you want. Work puts limitations on you. |

Volunteer for a charity, work with the elderly, drive a community bus, not really work, you'll be with people who'll actually appreciate you and it's social, better than a job if you don't need the cash

I did try working a couple of times, back in the 1980s, but quite honestly it was just like being in school again: every morning I'd wake up praying that the building in which I was going to spend the rest of the day had burned to the ground overnight.
Why anyone would actually volunteer to spend their life in a job is beyond me. |

Thinking about getting a job is enough hard work for one day.

Lots of banal comments but it may not be such a bad idea. If you're bored and have a few hours a week to spare then why not? Of course you could just post on here all day.

Why not go through all of the old, unwanted stuff in yer house and flog it on ebay?
Bit of fun, quite easy to do and you'll be astonished at what people actually want to buy. ![]() |

Used to buy and sell many moons ago raspberry at car boots, antique fairs and auctions. Made a lot of money from it plus was on EBay at the start. I'm afraid there's no money in that game any more. Recently downsized our house so had a surplus of furniture etc all good stuff. Did a car boot with it. In this PC world have to be careful but car boots these days seem to be dominated by Eastern Europeans who don't want to pay anything for anything. Example I had a small bamboo table original price £100 I bought in a sale for £50 it was still in as new condition. I was asking £15 but when asked by a Polish lad how much as I wanted to go home I said £10 he offered five. Not so politely I told him what he could do with his offer and told him I'd rather give it to a charity shop to he replied "Then you would have nothing" my response was "It's called principles" the beside me said he'd give me a tenner as he was confident he'd get a profit out of it. Next time it'll go straight to the charity shop !
