A legend @ WBA ...

Yep, had to overcome all the racist cr@p that was rife in those days. A decent bloke by all accounts. RIP.

A legend at Coventry as well although I believe his love was with WBA. Absolutely gutted this morning. RIP big man.

It seems we both did bigmo - a skilled player - such a shame he is gone. I was amazed he came to cov.

Very sad. Was a privilege to have watched the team of the late '70s. Only Batson remains of "The Three Degrees" who put up with so much racist crap and played football the way it should be played. He frequently attended Baggies games but couldn't stand Pulis's anti football.

I am not surprised charlie, he was quite good with his feet. Cyrille would take a ball with his back to a defender on the deck and promptly turn his defender and run with the ball. Being very strong he was quite something to stop. When we stood behind the goal and he was running towards us it was quite a sight.
