Absolutely loving it! Can't believe you guys are so critical. Last Sunday's episode was a cracker - the best so far. If you compare it to the ridiculous 'Silent Witness' my missus was watching the other night then there is no comparison. I totally disagree about the acting, I think it's very good and whilst I would marginally prefer 'The Night Manager', McMafia, despite it's silly name, is just getting better and better.

main problem i have is the characters are so similar, it makes it hard to follow
no problem with the acting, and it may be better viewed as a box set so dont have to remember from week to week
looking forward to final episode

I would agree, Donny, watching as a box set does make it far easier to follow. I have followed it by saving them up and watching three or four a week (as I do) and whilst I agree there was one episode where new characters were introduced and was tough to follow to start with, overall I think the series is superb and I have really enjoyed it. I also think it has just got better and better, can't wait for the final episode!

They didn't kill Alex in Russia as there was one scene where more senior mafia and politicians didn't want the attention so that idea was vetoed and it was decided to discredit him and attack his loved ones instead.

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I didn't find it hard to follow...........it was reasonable but no more. Imagine it has been set up for series two

easy to follow guys, maybe cos it was a little slow compaired to others you got a little bored? I agree with Pixie and thought it was very good. cleverly written.

It might be that he was being directed to look stiff, in which case I apologise, but if so, the direction was poor because it just made him look like a bad actor. In the chase through the subway he was moving like he'd had an accident in his pants. I haven't seen him in anything else apart from when he posed for Portrait Artist of the Year in which he was required to sit still for four hours. Have to say he looked a natural.

hes different in grantchester, and without any serious visual difference was a very different character
must be a decent actor to pull off such different roles without me expecting robson green to turn up as a bungling cop.

They could of cut this down, to a 3 part series, never had the legs to be a 8 parter. Alex has a flaw, to his armour, so will not make a James Bond.... he can't run for toffee

Lol. Funny that we all picked up on the fact that he can't run!! I think it's to do with the fact he's so tall. As I said, I thought the acting overall was superb, especially Alex's parents (especially mother) and the girlfriend. I was also surprised how much of a convincing villain Jimmy Carr was too.
