Way too small. Can't read the clues at all.
By:
It's Betfair's compression software. :(
If you're viewing on a small screen try hitting CTRL and the plus key together a few times to magnify the image. CTRL and the minus key will return it to normal. |

Sorry I wont post anymore Just seen need em all

Any chance of typing the letters out too? My eyes go all dizzy trying to read them.
By:
That's half the battle, sir! Arranged in a wheel makes it tougher. :)
By:
Not being able to see the letters makes it a bit tougher too!

I suspect there are two or three hundred chit chatters desperately trying to solve their final anagram. :)
By:
That's the good thing about chit-chatters, we're an optimistic bunch.

By:
How many of the nine have you solved thus far, Mr Kenbo?
By:
I can't see the letters well enough to have a go.
If I could, then I'd write/type them out in a straight line to make it easier. |
By:
Damn, are they that small on your screen?
Try holding down CTRL and press the plus key a few times (the minus key to reverse). |
By:
That worked.
I can't be arsed to do it nine times though. I've got a feeling that Casemoney is correct with the first answer, and you may have given him a middle name that doesn't exist? |
By:
His middle name is "the"
I solved a couple but the fkit factor intervened with the others. |
By:
Don't give up, Mr F, you're almost there. Just think of the prestige and glory, sir, quizzes like this don't come along every day.
By:
I got 3 and 5 quite quickly but I'm not well up on celebs and TY programmes. Literature is a huge field too.
Will have another look. |
By:
and 7
By:
Four of nine and counting. Excellent, sir! :)
By:
I believe you'll solve number four without too much trouble.
By:
That said, I considered number three to be the toughest of the lot yet you found it quickly! :)
By:
Still struggling with 4. There are a lot of famous people I've never heard of judging by the obituary threads on here! All depends on the field in which they found fame. (Not asking for clues BTW).
By:
I'm confident you will have heard of this person, Mr F, although not certain. The reason I considered it one of the easier anagrams is due to the name seeming to jump out when one looks at the wheel.
By:
Yes, I have number 4 now. Will sleep on the rest.
By:
Bravo, sir! Thank you for playing. :)
By:
Solved number 6 (I had my suspicions regarding this type of quiz, so looked up a list of characters by a certain popular fiction writer, not one I would bother reading - is that cheating?)
Surprised no-one has solved them all yet. Only 3 to go now but the more difficult ones for me. |
By:
I`ve got seven of them; off to have a bath, where I shall ponder the last two.
By:
The British celeb and the TV programme are off my radar but have an idea about the only cost 1.2 million clue, which are the three I have left to solve.
It's a tough one, Pokermonster, thanks. ![]() |

1) Rupert the Bear
2) Reservoir Dogs 3) Tenpin Bowling 4) Morgan Freeman 5) Toad In The Hole 6) Lord Voldemort 7) South Carolina 8) Anthony Joshua 9) Game of Thrones |

By:
Well done, mate.
I should have thought of GoT but hadn't heard of the celebrity so have just googled him. |
By:
Very well done, Cork Langer! You have them all correct, sir, and are declared the winner. :)
I'll confess that I was rooting for Mr F after his stoical efforts, but I congratulate you both and thank you very much for playing. |
By:
Out of interest, CL, how long did the challenge take?
By:
Cheers guys, always good to get the grey matter going again....!
PM, I have just checked my history log which says I logged in at 11.22 am, allowing for a few coffee breaks and reading the HR forum I would say 3 hours, I have to admit that rather embarrassingly I struggled badly with number 7, which had me stumped for a good 45 minutes at least, otherwise it would have been a more impressive looking effort...! Thanks for setting it and well done to all who had a go. |
By:
Thanks, CL. :)
That sounds a very impressive time to me, sir. The reason for asking was to gauge how tough the challenge for pub quizzers. Teams of four will be given the entire duration of the quiz (about ninety minutes plus a half hour break) to mull over these anagrams and I wanted to ensure the difficulty was pitched just right. Thank you again for playing (and for the feedback), it's much appreciated. |
By:
Well done, CL.
Thanks for doing the quiz for us, PM ![]() I did have a go but failed miserably ![]() |
By:
Thank you, MD. :)

Thanks for sharing your quiz Pokermonster.
I'm in a pub quiz team and am sure that many of the regulars would be able to solve it as a team effort in your time limit. Every pub quiz has to have a Harry Potter question these days. |

Well done winners! I got 6 out of 9 last night and was hoping to claim the win for myself tonight. Good one PM!
