I read this earlier and it made me seethe. What next - everyone getting a posthumous pardon and compensation to their families for what happened over fifty years ago?
It is typical bbc, for which we pay our license. We are supposed to feel sorry for a man who went armed with a steel cosh and a knife to rob a much older man and in doing so, or maybe that was the intention, kill him. The man was unarmed and there were two of them, so why did they have to kill him? How can they possibly say he had diminished responsibility when he had had a relationship with this man for five years and had had several jobs, although none lasted long. So people like that can go around killing people because they have 'diminished responsbility' ![]() It makes me wonder about all the cases we hear today where the murderers are found not guilty because of 'diminished responsibility' Why can't the bbc investigate all the wrong things that are happening today instead of trawling through the past. Maybe because they know there would be no hassle in an investigation like this. I despair about all the sex cases brought about events happening thirty, forty, fifty years ago - where the hell are people's commonsense? There should be a time limit for all these accusations. All this, 'oh but I didn't think I would be believed' rubbish. |

Totally agree Annie A very strange case to tout as a Miscarriage of Justice ,He has had a Long term Homosexual Relationship with the Victim ,yet they are calling him Childish makes no sense , The poor chap is found Battered and with no trousers lord only knows what was going on Prior to or during the attack .. He went with the other attacker who stayed outside prior to the attack
Just another weirrd case being covered for what appears no reason . |

I knew from the very first paragraphs that homosexuality was involved, but it was only mentioned way down the article, like an afterthought, when it was probably very relevant.
It seems that the 'childish' guy was the one that knifed his 'friend' in the heart. This friend that looks like he had been sleeping with for five years and getting money from. Curious cat ![]() |
