Just turned on. Unless I missed something, seems like a strange question, imo.  How are you supposed to work out the most obscure? I suppose you'd expect Texas and New York to be high but otherwise just a guess.

"How are you supposed to work out the most obscure"   I think that may be the key to the gameWink

One persons view of an obscure answer could be completely different to someone else's even though both could be correct.

might be taking this a bit seriously like my old man just did watching an old episode of "would i lie to you"
on some nonsense about sending cards to pets the other team got to look at the cards exposing the lie and
my dad went bonkers and threw the remote at the telly saying how unfair it was and it had ruined the game.
i did try and point out nobody cares who wins but clearly he does. he also always complains about time
wasting on university challenge Silly

Has to be Delaware, by obscure it must mean by size, the smaller the less well known, Delaware has the smallest land and total area.

I think Delaware was the best answer.

Talking about Would I Lie To You, what I can't get my head round is this: if someone claims to have say, been a child cess prodigy, the other team ask questions and if the claimant sounds unconvincing and has knowledge gaps, they take that as a sign that he must be lying.

But surely, if their claim is true, they'd want to appear clueless!  (If you see wat I mean)

At the audition they asked name a team that has won the FA Cup more than once, like anything if its a subject you know a lot about your very likely to get at least close to a pointless answer, other times if your pretty clueless your more than likely if you know an answer to give the higest point correct answer or close to it, like a lot of these tv quizzes there is as much luck involved as decent GK.

You possibly did what I did I misinterpreted the question & thought it was only televised 147's but it wasen't so you had plenty of names but I went for Kirk Stevens & Thorburn & we also did Peter Ebdon which was a two pointer, hence all low answers but nothing pointless, Maquire Wattana I think Robertson may have been pointless as well among others.

I mentioned Dott during the minute & after he said Dott was two points

If I'd realised it was any tourny I doubt I would have done Thorburn I knew it was never going to be pointless

marco fu was the guy i couldn't remember. i did think you meant on tv. any tournie makes it much easier & good
chance of a guess.

Did well to reach the final on our first programe & possibly blew it though I think its a mistake plenty of people would have made, you saw the question in print it was even easier to make a mistake when your just told it.

I like pointless, after 60 years or whatever of trying to come up with game shows, it's a nice variation.
I suppose my gripe is that some "final" questions are insanely hard and some easy, that's a bit imbalanced.

Love the "Not going out" episode of pointless, you should see it if you haven't :)

When: 10 Dec 17 01:00
i haven;t and not sure what that means.
are you the guy that was also on tipping point? i once asked if anyone had been on a game show and someone
said yes and the episode is on today which was an insane coincidence. i had never seen tipping point until then.
i haven't seen it much since. i am unimpressed by its randomness Mischief

Never been on a game show, though I "knew" a woman who was :)

There is an episode of "not going out" where they go on the show and Armstrong and Osman appear in it, it's very funny, one of the best episodes.

That Not Going Out episode was hilarious, yes I was on tipping Point that was almost five years ago now, girl on my show had never been on a game show before, that is I would say 80% luck, if the coins wont fall for you then your out.
