Bit like those footballers who wear gloves, should take up netball.
Off out shortly so just checking I've got everything. Padded jacket, scarf, gloves and bunnet. Yep all to hand. |

It's not so much the scarves but the way they way them or the knots they put in them .
|
|
By:
They're the same ones that walk around with a sweater over their shoulders.

Sorry lads I just joined the scarves brigade, and tbh I find they keep me really warm so there!

You wouldn't see it in Glasgow.

I always assumed that they wrapped their sweaters over their shoulders as they hadn't worked out how to put them on properly.
As for the scarf, I've seen pictures of the poor buggers in the trenches of WW1 wearing scarves and I'm pretty sure nobody would dream of telling those chaps to man up. Anyway it's always bloody freezing in our local Aldi so when the missus sends me shopping I'll be wearing my scarf with pride. |

Blokes wearing the bobble hats are the funniest.
Do they really think they look normal? |
|
By:
Not as bad as those who wear scarves, irrespective of the weather.
They have them wrapped around, very many times, and don't even take them off indoors. See antiques programmes and povey housey/designer types. Personally I can't stand being bundled up around my neck, which is why I could never wear a 'turtle neck' sweater! |

Manoleads may have hit a point Regarding the Knots ,Perhaps the Knots are a Signal to Other Knotters ?

I agree with Bito's analysis of the modern man's winter dress code.
These lightweights would do well to follow the example of Mister Ed. He presented himself as the very epitome of restrained masculine dignity, even in the hothouse atmosphere of the Circus Tavern. A simple pink shirt and matching Y-fronts combo served him well. |

Bito, I meant to ask you this a month or so ago.
Did you see this 66/1 shot happen on the telly? I'm still shaking my head in amazement. . http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5035119/Sir-Rod-Stewart-leaves-Prince-s-Trust-winner-tears.html |

I thought you'd take advantage of the £9.99 offers on Black Friday.
Just tell them Rodders has asked you to do an airflow movements survey and you'll be fine. |

I'll have to own up and admit that I do wear a scarf especially when I'm giving Muttley his late night walk which is about 21.30. Also I bought a great padded jacket on Black Friday which would be suitable for the Arctic circle let alone South London!

Can just imagine Scott, Amundsen, Shackleton and Crean together in the afterlife pissing themselves laughing at some Dorothy on betfair chitchat saying they need to man up.

By:
Yeah, we are not in F ing Newcastle and birds down here don't go out in just mini skirts and boob tubes. Why wouldn't you wear a scarf FFS!

I wore a scarf AND a free RP bobble type hat at Towecester last Thursday because it was B****Y FREEZING! Mind you the hat's a bit on the tall side, so the gap between the top of my head and the top of the hat is large enough to keep a decent sized jacket potato in there AND it keeps your head extra warm as well!
Wibble wibble!! |
