so this woman won a million on who wants to be, and yet every time i watch this she can't get three correct answers with 3 options.
but she got 15, 12 unassisted correct on there, harder questions, with 4 options.

did she win her million before charles ingram ?

Has she gone off the boil?

She certainly hasn't got the breadth of knowledge as others on the team.

she and cj were the weakest links at the start

daphne and kevin were outstanding, chris very good and pat and barry who joined later were also top notch

some of the later aditions not so good,

some of the chasers are failed eggheads, but standards are slipping

If there were 5 kevins then noone would ever have a chance of winning.CJ was useless when he was on as well, usually lost his match up but apparently knew everyone elses answers.

^yeh, it used to make me laugh the faces that CJ would pull at other people's answers! People who live in glass houses 'an all that..

I was on Eggheads. I beat Judith on Science!
we got 2 each out of the 1st 3 questions. Then another 5 or 6 each before she finally got one wrong.
(Though they only showed 1 extra question each when it was broadcast).

I also met CJ on 2 other quizzes on TV.
The first time he was a fellow contestant - Even the cameramen told us they hoped he got beat, he was there as the previous day's winner and all the crew had taken a dislike to him - he did finish 3rd of the 3 of us (I was 2nd).
Then more recently, I was on a thing called Beat the Egghead. CJ was the Egghead. It was a bad concept and he only needed to get about half the answers right that we did, there was just the 1 series.

I sometimes attend national quiz championships, there are usually chasers or eggheads taking part. But I've never seen CJ at one.

It could be his unpopularity or it could be just that he isn't very good.

Do you know Barrowboy, I don't remember.
I've never thought about it.

I suppose it's a bit like seeing a stand-up comic performance, you know it was good but can't remember more than one joke!

Remember seeing an episode some weeks ago where 1 lady single handedly beat 5 eggheads in the final round. I'm sure it's happened before, but was the first time I saw such a thing. Cheered her on, great stuff.

I'd like to have seen that, hfink.

Generally speaking, the eggheads are a good bunch of people. Except CJ.
I an everyone I've met who've met him are of the same opinion about him.
Since trying to admit to a murder, which he may or may not have committed, in a book which nobody much bought or read, he hasn't been on the screen!

He even changed his name to "de Mooi" by deed poll, I believe.
It translates roughly, I think, as "Handsome" or "Beautiful".

Basically, he is, imo, everything he seems to be and the snooker thing doesn't surprise me at all.

Yeh, he certainly likes his snooker facts, Studyform.
Didn't know about the murder admission (!Shocked) or the name change. Certainly a strange fish, isn't he.
Actually, are CJ and Alex Polizzi one and the same?  Have they ever been seen together in the same room?

I'll have to look that up, if you're right, they'd be contenders for my famous people & who they look like thread.

Just google CJ murder admission - there's loads of stuff about it!

Cheers Study, I'll defo look that up. Didn't realise you had a 'lookie likie' thread, else would have added my Alfred Burke-Danny Webb photo to it (as it happens, I stuck it in a thread called "Doppelgangers") Happy.

It's at the top now, I've been noticing them for a few years now, the latest one was put on only last week.
Take a few minutes to go through them, I'm especially proud of the Hendry v White one. :)

Wow, some of them are just spooky! The Enzo Ferrari / Ozil one is REALLY spooky! With the died/born dates being the same, if ever there was a case for reincarnation..!
I've got another one to add (just waiting for betfair to approve). I'll also add the Alfred Burke/Danny Webb one, to put it in it's rightful place! (when my father saw the latter one, he actually thought it was 2 photos of the same person).

I don't know you and never heard of CJ and probably watched eggheads three times in total. But I must say very well done to you on your quizzing skills. You must have a very good memory whatever your name is!

I just like quizzes, there are quite a few of us Charlie.
Quizzes used to be a most regular feature of the forum when it was good.

I'm not alone in having been on some on TV either. Others on here have as well.
