The government should give everyone a health credit card when they are born. When they need health treatment they apply with their credit card to the health board for the money.(INTEREST FREE).but throughout their lives they have to pay the money back when they are employed.
So the guy that has the bad hip can get the money within a few weeks to pay for his operation.
So the drunk on a Saturday night who ends up in hospital will pay for his treatment.
AND the poor guy that is suffering so much has easy access to money to fix his health.
The guy with the pain in his thumb will not bother rushing to hospital because he has to pay.
And the seriously sick people will be exempt from paying.
All in all ,hospital crowding would fall over night, waiting lists would disappear ,and less people would be sick when they have to pay back for the pleasure in their own hard cash.
the health board would get super rich and the country would have the finest health service in the world.
a Brass idea.

It's the people who don't use the NHS , millions of people ,all taxed ,  that keep the NHS viable .
The government likes to have the money up front , so they can waste it.

no no the government don't want people paying for treatment that they receive
They want people to pay for treatment that they don't receive, as happens now .

that means the money can be spent anywhere, so that's what they do.
Most people are not sick , but everyone pays tax . That's how it works.
