Over a week this 19 y/o girl has been missing and to say this is a strange case is an understatement,a 71 year old woman and a 19 y/o male have been arrested and released. The girl was last seen on cctv footage at a service station where she bought an ice cream, earlier she had stripped to her bra saying she was hot. A facebook page has been set up and her mothers comments on her own page are strange to say the least. The girl suffers fits and it is not known if she has medication, she has also suffered PTSD for some reason.hopefuly she is found safe and well.

@The Leopard -- Just seen interview with father...something not right....looked like he was trying to act emotionally...hope I am wrong.

Was told on a course decades ago that it is often the natural mother or the unnatural father (eg stepfather or mum's new boyfriend). Of course, that might just reflect that in family break-ups, the children invariably end up with their mother.

Giving an update on the search on Friday, Det Supt Paul Kessell of Dorset police’s major crime investigation team said: “The clothing located appears to be Gaia’s and her family have confirmed they match what she was believed to have been wearing the day she went missing.”

The clothing was found in a field close to a quarry and a local beauty spot called Dancing Ledge, where cliffs popular with climbers drop into deep water.

I'm getting de ja vu from the "Missing RAF Man thread" when you suggested the police incompetence was indefensible as everybody knew the body would be found in the landfill site. Any updates on anything being found in the landfill site?

It appears that you may have some kind of issue with the police.

Yeah I'd probably agree to an extent. You shouldn't allow that to make you that impartial though that you also begin to come across as a thick idiot .

seems quite a strange family set up. think i read an uncle was the same age as his nephew

despite pulling in several people on the face of it doesn't seem like plod much idea who did it yet
By:
Shrewd_dude
When: 18 Nov 17 20:05
They haven't found a body yet so it's probably more a case of they have no idea who did what.

in some cases they pretty much know who did it even before finding the body but don't have the evidence yet to build a case against them

A body has been found on land near Swanage in the hunt for missing teenager Gaia Pope.

Dorset Police said they are "confident" the remains are that of the 19-year-old, who has been missing for 11 days.

Officers made the discovery near a coastal path and field where items of her clothing were found on Thursday.

Yeah watching a programme that's been created after there has been a trial and someone convicted  really shows how obvious it can be on some occasions.

By:

The fathers was on the radio saying the family are suing the police as the false arrests have ruined their lives.
I would have thought the loss of the lass would have done that.

Sounds to me she had taken amphetamines, and if that triggered a fatal seizure, whoever provided them knowing her condition would likely be up for manslaughter.
