The house we moved into last year had a bird box on the garage south facing wall I think it should be north facing anyway due to a pear tree in front of it there was plenty of shade. However due to the tree producing a lot of not very good quality fruit I have cut it back quite hard. Do I lower the box to head height to be in the shade or get rid entirely or do I leave it. Will the birds figure it out that it may to hot to use. Another spanner in the work I saw a pair of blue tits going in and out of it.

ericster yes the bt's are using it now but come summer will it be to hot for them to have chicks in ? And as if I'd try to get someone Get me a drink Wink
