Ladbrokes or Badbrokes as the Sun labelled them in their article were fined £2.3m by the Gambling Commission.
It related to failure to interact with 2 customers who lost £1.3m between them playing Slots online.
One lost £837k over a period of 14 months whilsat the other lost £433k in 11 months.
Both customers had acquired the cash dishonestly.
The GC ordered Laddies to pay £1m to fund research into the causes of gambling problems and £1.3m to repay the victims of the 2 players.
