Later, shortly and tomorrow are 3 of the greatest words ever invented.

Other great words invented Brassie were;
Aw forget it, I'll do it myself. The wife lacks patience. ![]() |

sometimes I have the feeling to do only the most unavoidable things,
and something tells me it would be nice just to go to sleep . so that is just what I do. |

even sometimes when reading a book, I will turn page after page not even reading anymore.
satisfying myself that I am immersed in the book. |

some people of course feel compelled to be doing something , even things they don't like to do .
that can be disasterous. |

far reaching and difficult tasks ? are too strenuous for my mind.

By:
sometimes I only pretend to work industrially , when the boss is about.
and only cause the thought of losing my job makes me a little afraid , and a little bit not afraid. |

We all sometimes need to feel at ease.

1) its an age thing
2) its the difference between productive activity and non productive repeat/repetitive activity [as your mind perceives it] |

I was sitting in my car one day waiting for a friend to come out from a visit to the doctor and there was a building site across the road.I observed a guy walking round the building site with a hammer in his hand, for a full hour he walked round talking to everyone but done no work.tea break time came and the guy put the hammer down and all the guys went into a shed for their break.20 minutes they all came came back out and the guy grabbed his hammer again and started talking again. In the hour and a half I was waiting for my friend the guy done nothing but talk.

It's all about self control. But that's a limited resource and it's exhausted this time of night. You can boost it - but why bother? You need breakfast, adequate sleep and great core values/beliefs. Mental strength, monitoring and high standards. There are plenty of exercises to improve self-control but the chances of any of us doing them are close to zero. You're on chit chat - it's all over bar the screaming.

Brilliant, as usual, sometimes. |

Noticed your other post about amalgamating fora. We are not what we used to be(partly good). This is the only electronic site I post on - because it's attached to my major betting site. Maybe the rest of the world has had it too good for too long ...

The same here, apart from poker and the odd bet at bookies if my computer is down, betfair is my betting choice. Although it is not what it used to be. I used to bet on horseracing, specials, football, golf, politics etc but not so much now I play poker a lot I do not have the time for watching sport, except football, match of the day.

Watch the adverts - if they don't apply to you, then you are yesterday's people. Shades, waiting to shuffle into the grave. They follow the money/youth.

You are such a happy bunny, bodil - NOT
I rarely see adverts as I don't have a tv at home but watch tv series dvds at a friends, of course with no adverts. When I do see the odd one they seem so crass compared to some of the quality ones of yesteryear. |

Relax - remember we are the generation with most of the money. It's a Wonderful, Wonderful Life ... no need to run and hide ...
