Wider question really, but this may be as good an example as any.
What does Tony Banks do now?
The guitarist has Mike and the Mechanics which I believe still records and tours. Phil Collins had some ill health but is back again. But what does Banks do? Does he have a side-project? Does he do session work for others? Or does he simply relax, play golf, spend half the year in the Med etc?
Just wonder sometimes if, after a long and successful career, some musicians do just treat it as a job and give it up when they no longer need it.
After seeing the Genesis revisited get together recently, I guess he sits at home seething. The rest of the group had a fairly laid back attitude to the various break ups and fall outs, but he was still angry with Gabriel for leaving 42 years ago.

Looking at his wiki page,he has done one solo album for each decade so I guess he probably babysits his grandchildren and gives piano lessons to people. I did hear him chatting on Radio 2 a few weeks ago on a programme Rick Wakeman did about keyboard players.
