He fits the narrative. Anti white.
To think, Zim used to be an EXPORTER of food. Why? Due to white Zim farmers. They got killed or told to leave and the blacks don't know which end of a spade to use. (Have Zim friends, both black and white so I kinda know..mate of mine's dad was killed ) |

By:
Shameful what he did to a once great Country, not a word from the lefties you'll notice, at least the Irish Government have made their feelings known.

V little coverage of SA.
Universities have been burnt but nothing from our press. |
By:
I just cannot fathom why they would even consider Mugabe, it seems like madness. Or corruption, perhaps?
By:
Think the latter more likely.
By:
I had thought of the WHO being beyond reproach. Maybe I need to rethink that opinion now?
By:
The organisation that appointed him is the WHO, maybe this guy had something to do with it,
. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is an Ethiopian politician, and Director-General of the World Health Organization. |
By:
Of all the worthy candidates in the world to choose from they pick Robert Mugabe! It just doesn't make any sense, like some sort of bad joke.
By:
Who have they chosen as his deputy, Kim Jong Un?
By:
As long as it's not Sturgeon or Salmond.
By:
Totally ridiculous. What next? Tony Blair as some kind of Middle-East peace envoy!

The worrying thing is that this was presumably a collective decision, the WHO must have a board of directors who make these sort of choices. I find it almost unbelievable that someone didn't pipe up and say "you surely must be ******* joking!"

If you stop to think about it, there are only a tiny handful of people on the entire planet who would be a worse choice. It really is quite an astonishing decision. Does anybody at all support it?
By:
Ozzy Osbourne was second choice.
By:
I didn't believe it was true at first.
By:
Just the latest reminder of how much corruption there is in this world...
By:
Foxy - Ethiopia is corrupt as hell. Made a trip there some years ago. They should not starve but they choose to. No water harvesting, no concern for their people. Agriculture stuck in the dark ages. Choose not to embrace western farming methods. Very sad.
By:
Will be interesting to see who comes out in support of his appointment.
By:
I thought Goodwill Ambassador was the actual name of the person they appointed, when I first hear this story.
By:
This is akin to Putting Saville (if he were alive ) in charge of CBBC
By:
or let him fix stuff...
By:
Due to the level of criticism they have decided to review the appointment.
Every board member should be mamed and made to explain the reasoning behind appointment. Ffs what did they expect. |
By:
Named obviously
although.... |
By:
Then the Beeb or Sky (don't know which one) had on an impartial representative
from the Zanu PF to talk about what a fantastic appointment it was |
By:
Seems they are having second thoughts about it
