Incredible and emotional speech from General Kelly. You could feel the discomfort from the reporters, many of whom must have been hanging their heads in shame.

Democrat Wilson had listened in on a presidential condolence call to a soldier's widow, and then embarked on a round of television interviews criticising Trump for saying "he knew what he signed up for" during the conversation. The mainstream media were all over it, of course, almost constant coverage throughout the day.

General Kelly's response stunned the gathered press in the conference room. Congresswoman Wilson went into hiding and the MSM (surprise surprise) have gone very quiet. I encourage you to watch Kelly's speech on YouTube.

I thought it spoke volumes about the President that he had to be coached on how to make the call and still made a complete fool of himself.

Kelly confirmed that Wilson's account of the conversation was accurate and that Trump's denial was another lie from a man whose natural instinct when challenged is cowardice and lying.

Felt sorry for Kelly having to speak about his loss to try and mitigate the distaste most people felt about Trump's latest faux pas.

A MSM story timed to down play the bigger story that was the announcement that the Senate Judiciary Committee were to open an investigation into the Obama Era Russian nuclear bribery case, virtually ignored on main stream news.

MSM are heading up will what they saw as anti Trump speeches by the globalists Obama and Bush.

To be fair to CNN they are now admitting Trump was correct in the way he handles calls to fallen soldiers families.

The story is, of course, after the one on Obama/Bush.

@Insider Trader did Trump lie when he said that Wilson's account was totally fabricated or was Kelly lying when he confirmed that he had advised Trump to use the words that Wilson said upset the dead soldier's widow?

Dave you called this one wrong.

General Kelly's comments tell you all you need to know.

The democrats that used this to complain about Trump has now realised their mistake.

Which one of them is lying?  They can't both be telling the truth?

Was he lying when he said he heard Obama did not make calls?

well Obama did make calls, Trump back tracked on that in the press conference.

Lets get back to Trump's claim that Wilson's comments were "totally fabricated".  That is a downright lie.  Kelly confirmed that he suggested to Trump that he use the words that upset Mrs Johnson.  For once in his life Trump should have acted like a man and simply said "I tried my best and I'm sorry if my words didn't convey my thoughts".  Instead he went straight to Trump the coward and liar.  How do you think Mrs Johnson felt when Trump denied saying the very words she heard?

He said Obama didn't make the calls....... then when challenged tried to pass the buck by saying that that was what someone had told him.

Here he is, backtracking and lying through his teeth.

Yes General Kelly told him that. What is the massive mystery in that?

Most people are pretty fed up with all the arguing....but don't worry, they'll continue to do their talking at the ballot box.

I do try and empathize with the ones that keep losing...but try as I might, I just prefer the peace of mind that comes with winning...

Enjoy your family Holiday Torq....have many happy memories from Sunny Florida with family and friends myselfCoolHappy

Thank you mate. We've been looking forward to it for years, waited for the youngest to be old enough to enjoy himself. Missus is upstairs packing, I've been banished from the bedroom! LaughLaughLaugh
