Been watching this on Yesterday.  Just watched episode 4 which is fascinating from a social history perspective.  Just over 1 million deaths (mostly soldiers) died from the British Empire.  The Turks launched a Jihad against Christians slaughtering 1.5 million civilian Armenians, by far the biggest act of barbarism of The Great War.  I had no idea.

If the Armenians controlled Hollywood and the media in general .....  , you would be sick of hearing about it

I'm just reading up about it now.  Mass burnings and mass drownings common place.

'Birds Without Wings' is a fine novel covering those times, donny.

i've not come across that book, cheers, but its a period that
seems to be buried

human life may seem cheap today, but was worthless in the past if they got in somebody's
line of fire.
