Unbelievable - It's virtually pitch black I'm in my flat on Brighton seafront and I cant see my keyboard (I don't wear glasses). All the street lights are on - they must be light sensitive. Have phone at ready should tornado or something strange occur.
Was very dark then sky went red .. I was hoping it was that mystery planet and alien invasion that the nutcases were forecasting for yesterday.
Bring some excitement to our lives. And I for one would welcome our new insect overlords.

Just mowed my lawn in darkness, clearing a bit now. Reminded me of the eclipse. I was going to go fishing, would of needed to put an luminous tip on at 2.30 
Very similar to an eclipse dan. Could barely see at 245pm, yet the sky had an orange glow.
Getting weird sky in Norfolk now, just like a pair of yellow-tinted night driving glasses I once owned.
lovely colour sky out there ,had to take some pictures - thought it was just me at first after one two many ales this afternoon lol
it was the same up in north east corner of scotland. was like night at about 2pm. the sky had a spooky orange colour
