must affect plenty, not all bosses are like that though
some do operate along the lines of promoting the best candidate for the job hands up anyone that ever employed a good looking secretary when an ugly one who gave a better interview? |

Watched an old interview of John Betjeman on the Parkinson show recently.
Betjeman was describing how when he once had advertised for a secretary a particularly beautiful young woman had applied. This worried him a little and later that night he talked about it with his wife. She gave him the advice John, employ someone beautiful she will be kind. Because people will have been kind to her. |
