Ad block plus seems to have stopped working for me. Not sure why as there haven't been any updates on my computer etc. Does anyone have any recommendations for alternative blockers?

Cheers

I use uBlock Origin. The story of uBlock and uBlock origin goes something like this (if I remember correctly)

Dude A starts the uBlock project (then stylized as µBlock).
Dude A gets busy with life/wants a break and hands over the project to Dude B.
Dude B isn't really interested in developing and maintaining the project. Is more concerned about setting up donation buttons.
Dude A, the original developer, is disappointed, forks the existing uBlock codebase and creates uBlock Origin.

Bottom line: "uBlock Origin" is actively developed by the original developer. "uBlock" is vacated and not under active development.

Yes Firefox isn't what it used to be but I'm now on Firefox Quantum beta and it's a huge improvement imo.  Due for release November 14th.
