Unless I've misunderstood you, won't this more likely only be pertinent to those who have actually won money? Mischief

its the banks, putting it in a 24 hour holding account .They get interest after 24 hours, and connected to brexit they pile all deposits into their holding accounts ,and its against the law.loads of money being delayed at this time in all business transactions.
its not just gambling, banks out to make fast bucks as usual.

I went into a paddy office today and deposited into my betfair account within 60 seconds, and it just dawned on me"i wonder if I wanted to withdraw using a paddy office would they give me money after a phone call?"LaughLaughLaugh

if you withdraw money from betfair on a Thursday morning and you live in Ireland you have no chance of getting it until the following Wednesday.Thats nearly a full week, imagine if the paddy offices paid betfair customers out over the counter after a phone call it would increase betfair trade ten fold.Shocked

And betfair could charge an express fee on every transaction and divide it with paddy and everyone would be happy.HappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappyHappy

And young guys who were looking for loans with their banks could punt away knowing that the betfair refund would not appear on their bank statement which would keep wives, girl friends, partners, and bank managers all happy,"feck me,everyone would be happy"
1=betfair increase their trade ten fold and get 50% of transaction fees

2=paddy gets 50% of transaction fees

3.wives,girl friends, and partners and bank managers would not see betfair refunds stamped on bank statements

4 .the gambler himself would get his money into his hand after a phone call ,and a clean bank account if he wanted a bank loan.

5.only betfair and the gambler would would know the real gambling story.

6.all parties end up happy.

donny osmond - weirdly enough the same thing happened to me last month  -  it took me a while in fact to fathom how a  sum has appeared in my bank account from BF - then the penny dropped ,one was in front of the other  in reverse

Is it not simply that they hold it on your account for about 24 hours so you can 'reverse it'?
Not a good thing and it makes people sponk their winnings back quicker, but it must slow the payout down a bit.

if I had 4 hundred coming back and I knew I could go into a paddy office and get charged 5% express fee ,I would take 380 if I got paid after a phone call.and I would most punters are the same.Betfair should seriously consider an express withdrawal option with a 5% charge.(same day express of course).but its my guess betfair would make a big pile of money out of the idea, should they do it.
