I think the real problem aasbff is not offending other posters but offending the monitors.

No i got a 3 month ban just recently , they told me nobody monitors the forum at present they just rely on posters reporting people

you know i once wrote an article back during the scottish independence referendum explaining why even though i was a nationalist and wanted scotland to cut the dregs off, i couldnt ever vote in line with the SNP and why we needed a right wing scottish independence opposition more in line with scotlands traditional presbyterian protestant culture to rally behind, rather than having to rally around folk who would turn scotland into another sweden.
i cited a few sources that would seem a bit suspect now, even though talking about immigration and 'cultural enrichment' wasnt seen as extremist back in 2014 (and 100 times less so during the brexit ref). i wonder how that sort of thing would be viewed going forward given the trend in online legislation. it wouldnt shock me to see this forum finally gubbed for good come the next election, theyll have to start banning dozens of folk a day. |

INn the coming years social media is going to be hit hard as forums will close due to further legislation , it will not matter whether you are right wing or left wing free speech will be curtailed, the authorities want people to report anything that they can ban

I get a lot of my posts about the SNP pulled although the only time I got threatened with a ban was for comments about Corbyn and McDonnell.
Never said anything that wasn't truthful and everything I said had been reported in the media. Was told it was offending other posters. |

Seems to be the way its going, I dont even think itll be extremes either way that are targeted in the long run, just anything the current government/media disagrees with and sadly the UK seems to be taking a global lead on the online front.
Eventually if theres no open platform for people to talk to each other on either the right or left, itll pretty much be all over as you will never see a situation where folk with an alternative outlook ever infiltrate big business and big government, they just wont exist. I've seen posts online about burning down mansions and palaces from the left, those people are just as much at risk from the thought police as anyone on the right, it will affect everyone. |

Actually during my ban i went on a forum called UK politics forum which actually treated people like adults and there were not many bans on there, incidentally who did i meet on there but ET or EO as some may remember him going under the name of Ken Tucky , he sent me a message saying - is that you anxious i know it is because when i seen spivs and fanboys it could only be you- so yeah he is doing ok

If this is what its come to i might just move abroad, the UK is finnish with the current setup and trends and if I cant mould Scotland into being the Protestant version of Israel/North Korea of Europe I might just go live on a beach in oz and forget about it all. I think thats what all the smart people are doing now anyway. |
