Just wondered whether you still have £1 delivery shots.  They have now disappeared ( in my location  Carlisle )  in the  last few weeks.  Yet front of the website they still advertise delivery from £1.  If they get round this by having one ( or  a very few ) location/s  in the UK retaining £1 slots this is dodgy.  Any info on your location ?

Stopped using Asda years ago, after they dumped my groceries (inc frozen goods) at my doorstep when I wasn't in (they arrived 1 hour before my booked slot).

Stopped using Tesco a few years ago when they started to refuse to deliver if you were up any stairs. Its the pensioners I feel most sorry for.

I believe most supermarkets are limiting/dropping the cheap one-off slots,
as they want customers to switch to the monthly/annual subscription tariffs for online shopping

e.g. £10 per month or £80 year and you have unlimited free deliveries.

I'm guessing at these figures, but they want you to subscribe. Bit like Amazon Prime annual fee for free deliveries.

Sainsbury's is excellent if you're really hungry, you can get a week's worth of food with a use-by date of your delivery slot +5 minutes. Not great if you'd like to eat anything the day after.

poppy, sure you are right. Only one problem.  I was paying £1 for delivery min spend £25. With the season ticket if you look at the small print min spend £40.

Anyone know the legality of saying £1 delivery and not having ANY  in some / maybe most locations ?

Im loathed to start paying the annual fee, its an extra manipulation. If you subscribe then you will shop there and I tend to shop at other shops for certain things.

Tesco changed from 2 hour slots to 1 hour ones which are more expensive, though wednesday afternoons are still the bargins of just a few quid.

Why would you have a delivery of less than 40 quid anyway?
The whole point of em is to have fewer of them and break the f uckin delivery van's axle with the amount of shopping they bring surley?
