laptop help

Well assuming you know how to check the windows volume control and that it's not muted or zero, then the next step is the laptop volume.
It has a circuit, like a radio or tv, that does the actual amplification. Is there a little mute button on it?
Are there little like speaker icons beside keys on the keyboard perhaps with a blue colour that is the same as  the laptop special FN key?
Hold down the key and presse "speaker +"?
