It states pork pies, sausage rolls and pepperoni sticks should not be included and neither should fruit squash or flavoured water.
It says this is because they are high in salt and saturated fat and the school is keen to promote a balanced diet.

Wonder how often the School serves up Chips at Lunchtime ??

Most schools now serve very good food, you won't find sausage rolls or pork pies on many school menus and chips are usually once a week and usually are wedges and sugary drinks at school you cannot get been like it for years, good job too..

News now reaching us from Croydon, where a New Addington Primary School proposes to serve ONLY Halal meat to the pupils.

This might be quite common -- I vaguely recall a few years back some Sikh groups complaining about schools serving halal meat even though it was not advertised as such. Something to do with the supply chain I expect.

Hopefully the Croydon Teachers will be explaining in full how the animal was Killed so as the young children understand why
there food is Halal ,this will no doubt become nationwide Alun just in case a mistake is made and a child of the faith is given the Non Halal option in Mistake ,which of course would be a Major Disaster ...
