Yes, but at least your wife is a penny better off!

It'd be easier if you went in and tried them on instead of making your wife guess.

Sorry..my error..it was 4p in mixed copper. The 5p worth of copper she threw on the table when she arrived home included the penny she was going to give to the imbecilic shop assistant. She has written a letter of complaint.I will let you know the outcome( Yeah yeah..like your really arsed)

I am pleased Mark had a good turn out as I said before he is was one of the good guys. Can I ask if Karen boodle and Syke the new PR girl were there, or if Simon Claire or David Stevens turned up? |

I didn't attend ron but i will endeavour to find out for you.

Can your wife, really be bothered to write a letter of complaint?
Dear Mothercare I am really cross as I took an item back today and your shop assistant gave me £19.99 in cash rather than a £20 note. This makes me so angry it makes my blood boil. Please make sure this NEVER happens again. Yours faithfully Mrs Twizzle22. |

pixie..you seem to be missing the point. The girl had no 50ps or £1 coins in her till so she hoisted 24 fcking 20 pence pieces on my misses...if you think that's reasonable then i suggest you apply for a position at Mothercare.
|
|
By:
Not missing the point, bit of a first world problem don't you think? I really couldn't be arsed to write a letter over it; if it were me, I'd shrug, laugh and probably stick them in the parking meter when I got back to the car park.
|
|
By:
You see that's the problem with folks these days. They simply can't be bothered.Just put up with shoddy service.Much easier than to shrug shoulders and do nowt.
|
|
By:
Either that, or we are too busy with our lives to worry about the inconvenience of being given too much change and having time to write a letter of complaint, to achieve absolutely nothing.
|
|
By:
Either that is the correct answer pixie

No Ron..none of the head honchos could be arsed to show there faces

I've never had that happen in my life, I often keep a small selection of change in the pcoket to avoid the above if I know I'll be paying cash :(
Still could have been worse, could have ended up like this :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6QgHUJIQ5Q |

I would like to say I'm shocked but I am not, I didn't expect Claire or Stevens to show their faces as they only think of themselves. Mark is the nicest bloke you could meet, approachable, friendly; even to those who have had too much hospitality; his going is Korals loss, they need to get a grip and realise that Sykes, boodle and Paul Bowtell the financial director who are down to earth and do the best for the customer's and the staff have got it right and are appreciated. where as sticking your head up your own dark hole losses you staff morale and customers. |

I've not really seen it here but to help avoid scenarios like this in the US they often have a "take a penny leave a penny" tray at the till -
