RIP William G Stewart (15to1) Aged 84

Met him a couple of times when I was on 15 to 1.  Seemed a really nice bloke who was enjoying what he was doing, filming three shows a day, and came and had a chat at the end of the show.

Was he the one that was also famous for the Baker Street sax solo.

Jack No that was Bob Holness

A fine saxophonist and played 007 on the radio superbly too.

Famously got others to say his catchphrase "I'll have a P please, Bill."

RIP.

Yep, he's had a long and full life but he's now had his final 'Gold Run'.

Quite ironic really I appeared twice in 1990 & 2002 as I think a year or so earlier than 2002  he let people have another go.

Stewart and Geeson would have been naturals as a couple in Carry On films.

Ironically I had a skype audition for the next series of 15to1 yesterday, minutes before hearing the news.
And I was on back in 1996; got a photo of me and the other two finalists from my episode with William G.  (I finished 2nd )
