A false media narrative. They are attacked because they are viewed as illegal immigrants involved in terrorism. Not because they are Muslim.

I've been to Myanmar. You see plenty of muslims peaceably going about their business.

The Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (Burmese: အာရ်ကန်ရိုဟင်ဂျာ ကယ်တင်ရေးတပ်မတော်; abbreviated ARSA),[5][6][7] also known by its former name Harakah al-Yaqin (English: Faith Movement)[8][9] is a Rohingya insurgent group active in the jungles of northern Rakhine State, Myanmar. According to a December 2016 report by the International Crisis Group, it is led by Ata Ullah, a Rohingya man who was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and grew up in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.[1][2] Other members of its leadership include a committee of Rohingya émigrés in Saudi Arabia.[10]

According to the lead interrogator of ARSA suspects jailed in Sittwe, Police Captain Yan Naing Latt, the group's goal is to create a "democratic Muslim state for the Rohingya" in Myanmar. Although there is no firm evidence linking the ARSA to foreign Islamist groups, the Burmese government suspects that the group is involved with and subsidized by foreign Islamists.

What ive always wondered with the Rohingya issue is why the western govts have never spoken about it.

Also listened to an interview of Bangla PM by a British journalist. She was asked why she wasnt taking any refugees and she said why should we, we are already overpopulated and that if the journalist had any issue, he could raise it with the Myanmar govt for creating the refugees in the first place.

India also has a problem with illegal Bangladesh immigrants. To try and solve it they have built a fence around the entire border, and that's a long way.

Imagine if this was the other way round. Imagine how much mock compassion and outrage the likes of platini would show for the victims then.

There's no need to "imagine".  It is happening the other way round, about 1 million times more often than the reverse.

The first thing is that any people trying to set up a new muslim state should not be allowed to do so, whether they have any pretence of being democratic...that is impossible and should be ignored.

Interesting that these people are denied citizenship since 35 years in the country they live in. Imagine the problems that arise with that. Their current status is 'illegal bangladeshi immigrants'!

Last month 150 insurgents attacked 24 police posts and an army battalion in a single night. They must have some brains unlike the ones we have in Europe who still havent moved on from knife attacks or ramming vehicles into people.
