Brutal. Feel so sorry for the poor woman.
I doubt though, with a 42 year gap, the true resting place of the wee boy will ever be known. RIP.

Horrendous. Won't be an isolated case either.

It is brutal and sad, and I fully agree with what everyone else has said.

Which is strange because the rational reaction is surely: so bloody what?

God doesn't care. The boy will be welcomed into heaven regardless of where his body lies, or what indignities were heaped upon his remains.

And yet his mother will take little comfort from that. It is still deeply upsetting. There is something very basic, even primitive about our need for closure: to know; to mourn.

It's reckoned over 140,000 children go missing each year in this country. The vast majority are located or found within 24 hours, many later than that. Unfortunately, there are some that are never found or seen again. There is something insidious going on, not just this country but world wide. There have been reports of children's organs going missing, children being forced into paedophile rings, children being experimented on and some eventually becoming crisis actors with an untraceable background. And now this, how many more empty coffins are there?
