After watching China Girl and Cuckoo strike on t v and listened to the plaudits and reviews describing the performances s "mesmerising",when in fact the programmes are dreadful,i urge people to tune in on 5 usa+1 today at noon and watch Sam Waterstone in Law And Order.Failing that tune in any weekday between 10am and noon on 5 usa to watch REAL acting and drama in one of the best written series on tv anywhere.
If it's stage class proper acting you like this is for you and to be honest EVERYBODY.
Give it a watch.

'China Girl' is laughably bad. The worst series of the year by far at present, in a crowded field.
One thing we learned from 'Strike - Cuckoo Calling' is that gorgeous blonde supermodels have a thing for scruffy, insolvent male amputees, invite them round their luxurious flats and get them into bed. Who woulda thunk it? |

I've read the second Cormoran Strike novel and it really is dull and slow moving. Glad I didn't watch the tv version of the first novel.
