Do you mean actual hot air ballooning, or the sexual euphemism?

You got me there, just searched for it

Mate of mine is a commercial balloon pilot who has recently relocated to Italy because of the number of weather postponements in the UK!
I've not flown with him, but I have flown with someone else and thoroughly enjoyed it. Landing was 'interesting', though. The pilot very skillfully put us down in the corner of a park just over a telegraph pole and wires and before a row of big trees began! It was tight! |

I think he was asking about actual hot air ballooning Latalomne!

I won't mind a crash landing, it involves the ground. I'm not good with heights though, but I'll give it a go.

When the burner's not firing, it's incredibly quiet. People shouting up to you from the ground are easily heard, and they love a wave!

I've been and I'm not especially good with heights but glad I did. We landed on the 18th fairway of a golf club while peple were trying to tee off. Very amusing!

Aye, I reckon a sedative will get me through it. Just not sure who to invite if postponement is quite possible. It doesn't matter to me but I don't want to mess with people's days off work. I'm guessing lots of people booked August, expecting good weather.

Mine got postponed 3 times before I got up and away.

I figured two or three quite likely, how much notice of postponement did you get paulypaul, or did you get on site every time?

It was with Virgin ballooning a fair while back saddo. I'm pretty sure I had to phone a number and there was a message saying yes or no, so no, I only went to the site when it looked a goer!
I was buzzing for hours after! Got some great photos and we flew (by pure luck) over my house, my place of work, my parents' house, my golf club. I called my parents and was waving out of the basket having a chat because we were so low at that point. When we went very high I was bricking it even though falling out or crashing would be bad when low too! Wear a hat the burners are hot!Landing is awesome too ![]() ![]() |

I wouldn't do it if it were free and a topless Anna Kournikova serving drinks in the basket. I've got hideous vertigo, it's my only fear in life. I stopped skiing because of it, my chink in my armour.

Perhaps you could get topless Anna to serve drinks while on the ground and just pretend about the ballooning. I wouldn't go in one either.

What about the EastEnders 'girl' Slippy?
Could she entice you? |

What? Dot cotton?

Not as good looking as Dot.

More of a Dean Gafney lookalike.

By:
Not even the slightly big boned Letitia Dean could get me in a balloon.

She'd get me on one if it was my only means of escape.

Wouldn't take off the ground imo

We could get a bigger balloon !
