Next time you see the mad Professor Frink in The Simpsons, remember the voice is actually mimicing Jerry Lewis in The Nutty Professor.

Set a benchmark that almost all comedians who have followed have failed to get close to.
Pity the new gen comedians.

When he split from Dean Martin people at the time thought that was the last we would hear from Martin. but the opposite happened and it was Lewis who struggled to find a place and Dean Martin went on to greater success.

I didn't find him funny

Neither did I xmoneyx. The same goes for Mr Bean.

Two comedians that many did and do like nevertheless.
Report SlippyBlue • August 21, 2017 9:11 PM BST
I don't really know too much about Lewis, I was always a Phil Silvers/Sergeant Bilko fan of that era.
Mr. Bean is about as funny as having athlete's foot, I just never got how anyone could perceive that character as being entertaining either.

According to wiki, Jerry Lee Lewis also died yesterday.
What a coincidence!

he pioneered video playback monitors on set. he was a tech genius.

nutty professor he walks down corridor in squeeky shoes. tries to be silent.
so takes off shoes. his feet squeek.
he had the squirm factor though like Danny Kaye - some stuff was just too
embarrassing to watch.
