Labour shadow minister Sarah Champion has quit the party's front bench after criticism over a newspaper article she wrote about grooming gangs.

The Rotherham MP wrote in The Sun that "Britain has a problem with British Pakistani men raping and exploiting white girls".

She has now apologised for her "extremely poor choice of words" and quit as shadow equalities minister.

Sad

Will noone stand their ground on this issue??

I would think Pakistani probably did it. Most of em are Pakistani, but of course it's nowt to do with Pakistanis so she's walked the plank.

I thought she'd maybe walked because she's obviously misjudged the scale of the crisis. She inexplicably neglected to include the word 'monumental' between the words "a" and "problem".

She also seems to have forgotten that the demographic concerned is now Labour's core voter group.

Another turning point in British left-wing politics, where a politician has to resign over speaking the truth about a certain group of people.

The funny cartoon someone posted the other day about a gameshow where "you were correct but jemima was offended so she gets the point" was so accurate...

I was watching newsnight last night about how 3 groups of people were killing each other yet the blame seemed to not be on the people attacking each other and their personal responsibility for their own actions, it was .. Britain's fault.

In all this "partition" coverage something has stood out, not sure you've noticed. On the map you'll see an East Pakistan, that doesn't exist anymore, you may have wondered about that. When at the turn of the 70s it tried to break away, it had a genocide perperated on it SadSadSadSad

Absolutely shocking stuff to read. How many people have even heard of that? The upper figure of those killed is THREE MILLION! SadSadSadSad

It's toally airburshed out of history, and I'm sure won't be brought up by the BBC as they can't blame us for it, this was 25 years after we'd left the area. Actually they probably could, Kirsty Wark could get a carefully gender selected panel of left wing academics on to say that was our fault as well, and she'd grin and nod furiously as they did so.

What are the lefty liberals up to getting into bed with these types, where will it all end?

It's happening all over Europe, what's the big plan?

What have they got in store for us?

I don't believe this isn't part of some big plot, but for what end and who is behind it?

Good stuff Gin!

Dr C - you ask 'what have they got in store for us'?

White genocide.

'Genocide' was described by Raphael Lemkin as: 'The objectives of such a plan would be disintegration of the political and social institutions, of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups, and the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity, and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups…. It is because certain people are worried about offending foreigners that our own girls are being abused like they have been.  Those who say Sarah Champion is "racist" are unwittingly condoning the abuse.

Jeremy Corbyn should NOT have accepted her resignation.

He should have applauded Champion for her wholly accurate comments, publicly approved them, and told her to repeat those comments for longer and louder. He should have then instructed the rest of the Shadow Cabinet to do the same. Instead Labour preferred to surrender to the Religion of Peace in a craven attempt to maintain their core vote group.

One thing is sadly crystal clear from Wednesday's developments. Anyone who has a white sexually-underaged daughter in Britain can no longer expect Labour to protect her from the Rape Gangs. On all the evidence, Labour seem to prefer to protect the guilty men from long-overdue criticism by Labour MPs.

Has the BBC realised yet though that you can't support the 'Inalienable Right To Be Gay' and simultaneously embrace the ideology that throws the gay people off tall buildings.

Can't wait to see how the BBC manages that Doublethink.

There's something going on that we don't completely understand.

Like Powell said in 1963,  ''It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre.''

Over the top then? - maybe.

Over the top now? - I don't think so.

Another day.......................

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/local-news/concerns-been-raised-eight-teenage-10991804.amp

Concerns have been raised that eight teenage girls in Wishaw are being sexually groomed by a gang of Asian men.

The Wishaw Press has been told a group of men from Glasgow have targeted the girls - some whom are under the age of sexual consent - and have threatened them with violence if they tell anyone about the seedy goings-on.

Anyone worried about girls being sexually groomed are urged to contact the police and tell them about concerns.

Residents have said the predators are contacting the youngsters through social media and then meeting up with them at a bridge between Dimsdale and Pather and then taking them in a car to sexually abuse them at a house in the Govan area of Glasgow.

It’s understood they are supplying them with gifts and booze and then taking advantage of them before dropping them back off in Wishaw.

A source told the Wishaw Press the girls have been “brainwashed” into thinking the men are their boyfriends.

Families are too frightened to speak out in fear of reprisals after being threatened if they inform authorities what is going on.

Now questions are being raised whether parents do know where their daughters are going at the weekends, where they are staying and who they are with.

A 12-man Asian grooming gang in Rochdale, England, were jailed for over 140 years in total for abusing a 13-year-old girl in Keighley last year.

The gang preyed on teenage girls, plying them with drink and drugs before abusing them.

The source said abuse is “escalating” and urgent action is needed.

There have been calls for immediate action to be taken to stop young girls being sexually abused by the Asian gang.

One source told the Wishaw Press: “The police and social work have been informed about this.

“It is something similar to what happened in Rochdale and it has to be stopped.

“There needs to be a full investigation into this.

“The girls are told there will be repercussions if they tell anyone.

“They have been brainwashed and say that the men are their boyfriends.

“Most of the girls are from Wishaw but there are some from elsewhere.

“We don’t know exactly how many are involved. But there could be about eight from Wishaw.

“They are meeting at a bridge between Dimsdale and Pather.

“You don’t expect something like this to be happening here.

“It is escalating.”

And the source said parents should know exactly what their children are doing, who they are with and where they are going.

The source added: “Children are walking about with rucksacks at the weekend.

“Do the parents know where their children are going and who they are with?

“Are their children receiving expensive gifts like clothes or phones. Is there anything unusual?

“There is a lot of under-age drinking taking place.

“A 13-year-old girl was found drunk and slumped in the street.”

Wishaw councillor Fiona Fotheringham said: “Any reports of sexual grooming in the area is concerning. I have spoken to social work and the police and neither partners have had any reports and are unaware of any issues of this nature.

“I would urge anyone to immediately report any concerns to the police for investigation.”

Both the police and North Lanarkshire Council said they were unaware of such incidents and not involved in any investigation into allegations of sexual grooming in the Wishaw area.

I see there is distress that there are no "libtards" on the thread. I hope I can count as one. I support Ms Champion's original remarks and am annoyed she has been pushed.
There clearly is an issue with Pakistani gangs grooming young white girls though how much it has to do with Islam and how much it has to do with tribal customs that pre-date Islam is a moot point.
It is also true that not all male child abusers are Asian or Muslim and not all Pakistani men are involved in these sort of crimes.

Hugely disproportionate amount of them per capita though. Needs addressing, not reluctantly tolerating. Get after em.
