Zsa Zsa ... If you consider yourself a liberal (i'm guessing you do) then you really should be adhering to liberal principles, strangely enough that doesn't include defending the most hateful, intolerant, bigoted, right wing, misogynistic ideology on the entire planet.

The problem with making the good lady UKIP leader. Is that her views while shared by the vast majority of people will be seized upon by the pro Islam media, and every interview and appearance she makes will be dominated by her views on this subject alone.
The BBC would be out for her blood as would the rest of the left-wing media, who would use it to knock UKIP in every bulletin that mentioned them. Nigel was extremely careful not to let the media demonise him over something as petty as this. While the good lady is handing the media a gift on a plate. |

She's too honest for her own good.

Not sure the exactly policies. But anyone that stands against Islamist terrorism, Grooming kids, FGM and discrimination against women and those who don't 'believe' should be allowed to have their say.

will be a refreshing change from those politicians who are pro-terrorism and child abuse.

May I respectfully point out that telling the truth is not Islamophobia!
|
|
By:
PP,
Very true, particularly on the child abuse point. |
|
By:
Slicer, what you say might not be.
What you will be reported to have said after the dust has settled is another matter. Along with how you are perceived by the media for speaking out. There is a conspiracy in most of the media to shut down all opposition to the religion. Particularly the BBC. |
|
By:
I know that, plus the guardian. However if one is prosecuted and the statement is proved to be true, one is not guilty of Islamophobia.
|
|
By:
BBC has to be neutral on all religions....but they should allow more people speaking their minds ....as on LBC.
|
|
By:
The BBC MUST be neutral on all religions? According to the BBC there are a lot of mentally ill people of Asian heritage carrying out terrorist attacks and grooming young white girls. An insult to Asian Hindus, Buddhists, Christians etc when it's always the Muslims!

If only the western media would draw a clear distinction between good people and bad religion, we might start to get somewhere. They are two separate subsets but unfortunately they sometimes overlap, and thats where bigotry thrives. A third subset - bad people, also overlaps with the bad religion subset. There is no subset of good religion. They are all bad. Whenever good people say they are "praying for the victims" of atrocities carried out in the name of a religion, they are falling prey to bad ideas. And thats where a lot more effort is needed to eradicate delusion.

The BBC do NOT have to be neutral on religions. In fact it should be overtly pro Christian at the expense of other religions. It was dedicated to God in 1932.
This is what is written in Broadcasting House: This temple of the arts and muses is dedicated to Almighty God by the first Governors in the year of our Lord 1931, John Reith being Director-General. And they pray that good seed sown may bring forth good harvest, and that all things foul or hostile to peace may be banished thence, and that the people inclining their ear to whatsoever things are lovely and honest, whatsoever things are of good report, may tread the path of virtue and wisdom. |

ISLAM...(previous post)
whats not to like about it? Our liberalised left wing celebs, etc seem to be in some sort of thrall to Islamic religious hard core mumbo jumbo, so why not give it a shot (or stab as it where)? Lets try Sharia Law in this country for 6 months or a year or so. Lets take all the murderers currently in prison and hang them. Not a bad idea and what a saving on taxes. Lets take all the rapists currently in prison and do the same. Homosexuals and lesbians could all be thrown off the nearest high-rise... there'd be an awful lot of bodies but hey ho, its the law. All women banned from the work place and from the roads as drivers. Woohoo! More jobs for the boys and less dopey birds trying to park and navigate roundabouts. All education for women ended at 13... what a huge saving on education costs. All women in burkhas outside the house and walking behind their man. Divorce... easy as pie with no financial burden on the poor hubby. The more you think about it... these liberal types have got it spot on. Bring it on. Whats the downside? There is none. Less murderers, rapists, friends of dorothy and rupert, more jobs for the lads, more women in the kitchen/bedroom, fewer mooses walking the streets, paradise. Allah Akbar ![]() ![]() ![]() |
