Dunkirk has more than a few music fans. It will be interesting to see if it stands the test of time and the Oscar voters also think it is Elgaresque (if that is a word).
Pulp Fiction, lots to like, although it's not really a 'music score'.
Lawrence Of Arabia, love the soundtrack especially the main theme....makes me want to be in a desert.
The Goonies. Can't get enough Cyndi Lauper.

One of my favourite film soundtracks, particularly the film's intro and outro is from 'Death on the Nile'. Positively Wagnerian in its approach. Wonderful pieces of music.
Wasn't there a documentary some time back, possibly on Channel 4, whose thesis was that film scores were the descendent of and successor to classical music (whereas classical music itself had become avant garde)?
