The russians are the cheats - we don't cheat?

Let's look at that? the Russians are competing using all they can to win, they have now admitted doing it.
So were they winning in every event??  NO?? They had parity with all the other athletes.
So either the Russians are really bad at augmenting their athletes or everyone is at it? At the top tiers anyway?
It was all political, they were OUTED because of Syria. If the Russians controlled the testing body they could
turn the tables and do the same to another country.
For years I competed against other runners and they never looked like they have in the last twenty years.
No matter what strict regime you go through you just don't get the physiques you are getting in 75 percent of these top tier athletes.
Again - if the Russians were not winning in all events, then they were not the only cheats. every athlete that passed a Russian should be scrutinized. But they do not out any of them because this is sport. It's a business. It would be disruptive. It would be scandalous, politically so. It's all lies.
To believe that athletics or any sport is now clean, all the way.. is ridiculous.
Just compare the physique of an athlete today to their predecessors pre steroids. 1980?
back then East Germany was highly suspect, their woman athletes look like ours do today?
Sorry but pulling tyres behind you at speed does not increase your muscle mass that much.
i moved around 3000 pianos in my old job over the years. my muscle mass did not increase that much?
this is like a scene from Rocky being replayed for affect. There is supplements at work here.
real dodgy stuff. Heart attach rates have climbed in retired athletes? this is a sign of drug abuse.

I'm not against them using drugs. I'm against them lying to us as if we are mugs.

Good point.

The Chinese swimmers were better at it (90's?), as were the East Germans in the 70's.

I had to do some work with a British national athlete in the 80's. She told me loads of stuff about how just about all of 'em had some sort of doings with substances and some pretty well known names who might possibly have been associated. In EVERY country, although the names (brits) we discussed were both widely known for both taking and supplying and, she told me, if they don't take them they can't get close to competing.

Now. This might have been said for shock value, but I believed her.

It's the same for so many sports.
Cycling, Gymnastics, Weight Lifting, pretty much amything that's body against body, with no tools in fact and some with tools.
