Are you saying akabula that Annie got crags banned? I really don't read all of the threads thoroughly enough to know why crags has had his forum rights removed. All I can say is that on here and on The Racing Forum I have conversed with crags for about 20 years all told and although we didn't agree on certain matters he was always extremely polite and civil towards me. Just my opinion of course, there is hardly any of the oldtimers left on here now

Not disputing any of that but he was a pest on most threads Annie was on.
Any time I was talking with her he would pop up with the same comments over and over.
Annie asked him to stop but he wouldn't.
I even asked him a few times but he said we were being conned and he knew better.
Seemed an obsession with him.

I would really hate it if crags put any doubt in your mind about my gender, but I would not blame you if there was because there has been so much on here over the years about it.  If you want you could phone me and be certain.

Makes no logical sense to defend the same accusation for 10 years over and over, the more a person defends something the more guilty they look, not saying you're not female, and tbh, I don't think anyone really cares either way! I've just never seen someone vehemently defend their own identity

Scandanavian. I like you. But why should anyone have to block someone else to defend their identity? Pretend someone is not there and it's all ok is just a ridiculous way to carry on. I've never blocked anyone, never reported anyone... and never will.

You could say anything, it's water off a ducks back, I grew up in a culture where you just stand up for yourself... and that's all Annie is doing.

So it's all Annies fault for not blocking him.

doantwin2easy....what I meant is, annie has been defending her identity for years to the same poster hundreds of times in hundreds of exchanges and nothing changes, so it's a case of 'insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results', because crags didn't change his mind, so the best thing to do is walk away other wise the alternative is to keep defending the same point thousands of times instead in thousands of more exchanges, makes no sense. Simply by carrying on defending yourself only seeks to encourage the accusations. I'm sure everyone either a) do not care what the sex of a poster is or b) made their mind up many many moons ago anyway.

scandanavian haven,,,  The point I have made many, many times over the years about crags and you must have read these posts of mine, is that he just did not say I was a man, but that I lied about other things as well.  The accusation that I was a liar was really hurtful to me and that is why I could not block him, I had to defend whatever he was currently saying.  If he had just said about me being a man I could have put up with it, but to repeatedly say about anything I said that I was lying about it was just horrible.  He spoilt chit chat for me.  He stopped me posting, because whatever I said he would pop up and say his rubbish again.

fair enough annie, was not criticising you, just curious as to why you didn't block because most would have done.

I remember once Annie you spoke about a tv and he jumped in saying "You told us you didn't have a tv"
I think there was quite a gap between both statements but what got me was crags had stored this info.
Not sure if that's verbatim but it was along those lines.

Annie.  I agree he did persist too long with his badgering.....but maybe his ex-wife has taken his child away from him and will not let him see him/her..... so has an antipathy towards females at the moment. (I'm guessing)

He was always doing that, akabula. 

He would come up with something that I said years ago and accuse me of lying because I said something different.  I pointed out to him that I have a lived a very unconventional life  and that in the years I have been on chit chat I have moved several times and so my circumstances have naturally changed.

I do not own a tv but I do watch tv at a friends.

I agree with Annie and Aka. He really was a pest in regard to Annie and popped up with derogatory comments whenever she posted. These were not contrary views about the subject matter of the thread but personal attacks. Whatever problems he may or may not have had, it doesn't excuse his behaviour towards Annie in any shape or form.

Agree it was inappropriate but I think BC is merely retaliating as spotty was quick to label a few of us similarly for defending Cliff Richards and also for saying that peep were innocent until found guilty as in the case of Prince Andrew.

There was, about 9 years ago, a beautiful thread by a poster named drags, in which he superbly, and extremely poignantly described the last days of his beloved dog.It was a terrific thread, although extremely sad, similar to the one Harry Cripps did not long after. It was very well observed and contibuted to thread, and crags only comment (posting as kerrymore then) was get over it, it's only a dog. Spoke volumes about the man.

Crisp, seriously, who gives a s**t if annie is a truck driver, what does it matter, personally I don't think so, if I'm wrong on an anonymous betting forum, so what.

Those of us on here a few years should appreciate that every post every contribution made it an (for me at least) exaggerated eccentric forum to take the p**s and have it taken, a sort of delirious, demented but harmless place to let off steam and exchange ideas. Crags took himself and this place too seriously, something I have been guilty of in the past.

Don't get me wrong, there have been some great posts, succinct, erudite, to the point, well explained and worth knowing. Some very knowledeable people on here worth listening to.

As for 'hounding' someone, that's just plain wrong. End of polite rant.
