The best way to use an Avocado by the length of the Aintree straight is

to take the avocado , spluce down the middle ..
Make a hollow in one half  (both halves for 2 portions)
And plsce prawns , lettuce and Marie sauce in the hollow..
With your long handled spoon eat a bit of everything =
incl the soft Avocado centre  ..
Pure Heaven !! Grin Grin

marie rose sauce, and with prawns if you like them

mix in with salad

they aint got much taste imo, but are supposed to be good for you

so we eat them once a month or so

just buy the cheaper ones

if you plant the seed it will often grow and makes a nice house plant until
it gets too big.....probably the best thing about avacados

Avocados are famous for people slicing their hands when trying to remove the nut.

Slice in half with a knife, and twist to open the avocado.
The nut will be stuck in one half.
Get a serrated bread knife and strike/chop it into the nut, then twist.

Toasted open sandwich with lettuce, avocado, and a few other things.

They're great on their own but try them with bacon and eggs, may sound a bit odd but it is a taste sensation.

Nice served hot....

1. Scoop out and dice... mix with skinned diced tomato, fresh basil leaves  Re-fill back into shell & top with Mozzarella or grated Gruyere cheese and under hot grill. nice with diced bacon through it.Twist of pepper

2. over ripe Avocados.... spread on toasted buttered thick grannary / Ciabatta  bread ...topped with poached eggs

3. Any Seafood goes well ...Smoked salmon / prawns / smoked mackeral ....mix salad with lemon                             vinaigrette & walnut bread

Buon Appetito

Try one with a well made french dressing. Oil, white wine vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic, black pepper. Fill each 'well' with it. Heaven.

Tasty and also nice with a poached egg.

After prepping them, squeeze over with lemon juice.

This stops them from discolouring and spikes up the taste as well....

paulypaul's dressing is a classic, and you could always try with just Balsamic Vinegar

Alternatively just do what we all do and look at a myriad of recipes on line...

Halve, de-stone and marinade in balsamic vinegar, Lemon Juice and the herbs - Tarragon, Parsley and Chives.
Press into an old boot, and bury for two weeks.  A compost heap is better than the ground because of the residual heat.
Dig up, wash off compost, scoop out contents and eat boot.   Hth
