I just felt i was eating out of order. i put on three stone in three months. critical mass forced my hand. i would like to make it to September. It has taught me i can do without food. down to one meal a day. better than eating everything in sight.

If the purpose is to simply lose weight then why go hungry at all?
Simply cut out the sugar and drastically reduce the carbs. You can't help but lose weight if you do that.

The point is Dr C, I like quite a few of carb foods....e.g. low GI granary bread from local bakers, I couldn't imagine not having rice with a curry, I like pizza occasionally, a pudding is nice a few times a week. But I have cut down on carbs overall since IF.
Also, I like beer.
So my diet days is my penance - and I can eat whatever I like the rest of the time.
Experimenting with doing one day a week at the moment rather than two.

i cut out carbs and sugar totally for an entire year.
It was okay - but i only lost two stone? from 18stone to 16stone. but it started to cause problems with my digestion. all that veg caused a backlash from my biocultures in my gut. noises came that sounded like a gremlin, My body started to react to foods I've been eating all my life. Stuff I love to eat.
I love onions, tomatoes, apples, peppers... but now I cannot eat them. something happened with my eating large salads. My stomach now cramps up for twelve hours if I eat one tomato? I fkin love tomatoes. It's either insoluble fibre? or I'm now an IBS sufferer.
So all i'm left with is carbs and some other veg(root veg).
