Any ideas how I could watch this online somehow?
It is apparently on bt sport and i have bt broadband but not bt tv. I have looked it up but I doubt I could get anything put on that quickly. Maybe I will ring bt tomorrow. But after all the hassle I had with them to put on my landline, which i don't use, and broadband I am not looking forward to it. |

Hesp lives in Bridlington, a seashore community on England's northeastern coast. He's a semi-retired owner of a company that offers caravan-vacation rentals, is married, and has four children and seven grandchildren.
Hesp has played poker recreationally for more than two decades, and his only recorded tourney cashes to date have occurred in small tourneys in the English city of Hull, nearby to Bridlington. This is Hesp's first visit to the World Series of Poker, and it will result in his first-ever WSOP cash. Hesh's lucky jacket, loaned to him by a friend, helped endear him to TV and online audiences. Of note, Hesp owns a Delorean, the 1980's-vintage car made famous in the “Back to the Future” movies. |

Thanks akabula, good clip. Mind you it shows how not everyone can be a presenter on tv. The girl looked totally not interested in his amazing story.

the site will always have a few issues Annie but about as legal as you 'll get without a television , as long as you have a decent antivirus it will protect you , not sure it's right channel though , as i've quit poker so won't be watching

Been following this, great story, and a real colourful character. 64-year-old from Hull, semi-retired and runs a caravan centre - usual level buying in for £10 in a Casino in Hull - ends up in the biggest prize in poker, the 888 Poker World Series. Unfortunately his amazing run came to an end but he still takes home £2m for 4th place. Would love to have seen him win it, especially that he was playing against some of the best, and he just seems a real good bloke, but still, what a fantastic run he had !!!
Said he has never bought any books about poker or how to be a professional player, but knows the rules of the game and just plays it his way, only an amateur player and intends to stay that way. Poker journalist Remko Rinkema posted: "John Hesp's 4th-place for $2.6 million is the second biggest cash ever by a British player." |
|
By:
Brilliant result, very well played.

Great story and he's made a good few friends in the poker world.
Running the 2 pair into the set earlier cost him his chance of victory. Was good to watch him and the reaction he drew from the other players. |

I am so gutted that i did not see it. I must seriously consider getting a tv, I am missing so much good sport etc.

You're not missing much else annie. Most of the stuff on the box is absolute garbage. IMO.

|
By:
annie if you bought a tv the wasps and flies would suffer..not much to interest them in a tv.
