Lets ban any ads that dare to suggest little girls aspire to be ballerinas and little boys want to be explorers - that's oppressing women all over the UK.
No more women shown doing dishes, hoovering, etc. Can you imagine the Shake n Vac ad now ? good god no !

The warrior (warrior-ess ??) launches into her well-practiced rant about the oppression of women in advertising, but the very first point she makes
is that the TV execs and ad companies are run by "white males".
why mention "white" ????

It is absurd.
Men are from Mars and women are from Venus - they MOSTLY are like this, humans but from a different planet. Men are so different to women and it is ridiculous to suggest otherwise. This will confuse children even more, if they weren't already!
There has been umpteen studies that said children normally follow the engines - boys, dolls - girls scenario. They are not made this way from giving them boys toys and visa versa but from their innate qualities. Why do you rarely see women on a building site or as a tradesman? etc etc

I do my own dishes, cook my own food, watch musicals with all the past
hollywood greats(deanna durbin,gene kelly,sinatra,rogers and astaire)
draw and paint, pick out my own clothes, mend my own clothes.
What is this stereotyping BS. I do most of these things out of necessity.
If you are the breadwinner - male or female. You get a pass on the other stuff.
because you are bringing in a pay check.
It's about maintaining your environment. Not living in squalor.
they make men look like boobs in adverts. women like nymphos.
The ad agencies are the evilest knuts on the planet(almost).
they tell us how we should live.. what makes us happy?
I want to go back to the adverts of the past. plain cards and narration.
