If we tried to grow a billion birds a year organically, that would be a lot of land. It’s a balancing act, and it’s demand-driven. I don’t think we’ll see a change in systems without consumer demand. OK, he is not entirely unbiased given his job, but when did you last buy an organic or free range chicken instead of those five bob skimpys at the super.  I couldn't give a toss cos I raise and eat my own but you should.
