If they were willing to change the rules to accommodate us it highlights a big flaw in the EU model. What if another member wants out are they going to change the rules to accommodate them? we saw with that tiny Belgium region blocking the trade deal with Canada how difficult it is to please everyone, when you do that it just becomes useless so countries are better making the rules themselves.

From the man who opened the floodgates to Eastern Europe, which played a significant part in getting us out of the EU. You'd think he'd be happy to bugger off into retirement with his ill gotten fortune.

I think that some European leaders feel they are responsible for part of the blame over Brexit for giving Cameron such a poor hand following his "reform negotiations". They had assumed like everyone else in power that a remain vote would prevail. Some, like Tusk, but perhaps not Juncker and a few others, would like to make a better offer for Britain to remain. But who can we trust? Certainly not Blair who we already know speaks with forked tongue. To renege on Brexit would be a betrayal of democracy which tells you something about Blair if you didn't know it already.

Blair's comments if true bodes well for us getting our cake and eating it as Boris said we should.
Access to the single market with no freedom of movement and no tariffs. What could be better for Britain? Stand firm Theresa, it's all beginning to fall into place. |

They will not change anything in relation to freedom of movement.
That is the one thing that the EU will not change, don`t trust them. |
