Wall latest..
Bill allocates $1.6 billion for Trump's border wall: The House Appropriations Committee on Tuesday released a bill allocating $1.6 billion to begin construction of a physical barrier along the U.S. southern border, one of President Trump's central campaign promises. Conservative members in recent days had begun warning that they would pull their votes from a budget and spending plan that failed to fund the wall. House Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) went so far as to tell Breitbart News that Trump would not sign a spending measure if a wall were not funded, though the White House has not commented on the matter: |

Donald Trump will probably resign over a constitutional crisis caused by his son-in-law and son, a leading professor of law at Columbia University predicts.
Philip Bobbitt describes the President’s resignation as a consequence of his family members being prosecuted as “the likeliest possibility.” Emails released by Donald Trump Jr show that he met with a Kremlin-based lawyer last summer, along with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort, the Republican campaign’s then chairman. Trump Jr's response to being offered compromising information about Hillary Clinton ahead of the November election was to write “if it’s what you say I love it especially later in the summer”. “Whatever [Trump’s] policy goals, it has long been clear that creating a dynasty — having destroyed the two reigning political dynasties in the last campaign — is his greatest objective,” Professor Bobbitt writes in the Evening Standard. “Resignation, as remote as it seems right now, might well be a choice the President would make to save his children from prison, and himself from future prosecution.” He says resignation would be the best way out of the “mess” created by allegations of collusion with Russia over interference in the US Presidential election. |

14 Jul 17 18:59 Considering that we have had in recent times, Bill Clinton, G W Bush and B. Obama, Trumpy feels like a breath of fresh air. That he raises the blood pressure of the luvvies and lunatic left is an enormous bonus. The guy is doing the job he was elected to do and good luck to him. What is that Foinavon...behave like a clown? He is doing that in spades !Lest we forget he has done the most imortant thing he could do and that is why a large number of conservatives voted for the Bozo despite being embarassed and horrified by him. He got the Supreme Court Judge nomination through! That will remain his crowning glory although he will also have some clowning glories..too many to metion. For the record I again reiterate he wil have a " stroke " next year because he is too dumb to realise he will be impeached. The Republican heirachy will go along with the CIA or Ferderales on this! |

President Donald Trump has asked his lawyers if he can pardon himself over the Russia investigation.
He has apparently asked his legal team if the president’s power to pardon extends to himself as well as members of his family, according to the Washington Post. His lawyers have also been discussing presidential powers among themselves, added the paper. They are also looking into ways if they can limit the powers of special counsel Robert S. Mueller, who is leading the investigation into alleged links between the. President and Russia during last year’s elections. More Nothing Burger news.... |

He told everyone what he wanted to do before he was elected, he's now trying to do what he said he would do.
You might not agree with his policies, you might not think he has had much success and you might also think he's a clown but I repeat what I said is true, The guy is doing the job he was elected to do and good luck to him. |

Sorry Foinavon but I disagree!
He lied and told the people what they wanted to hear. Do you really think he cares? He said he would sort it out and drain the swamp? really with Fredo and his son in law? Make America great but buys his merchandise from abroad? He is a fake and a phoney. The art of the deal? what deal can he make as a lame duck President. He can't even repeal Obama care! What is happening with the wall btw? What legislation has The Art of the Deal got through Congress? He is a bully, a liar, a misogynist and will soon be revealed as a traitor I am sure. How much Russian money has he borrowed? Please seriously tell me what he has done that he has promised to do? Iam not having a go at you as you know so tell me what he as done. The Supreme Court Judge was the most important thing and yes he did it! |
|
By:
I agree that he hasn't had much success as he has met with a lot of opposition and some of the things he proposed were virtually impossible to do.
He said what many people wanted to hear as do most politicians in search of getting elected and he is a prime example of over promising which is the curse of modern democracy as we also see in this country. He also has personal faults, I'll agree with all that but all that is an aside to the fact that he is attempting to fulfil the promises he made to the electorate. |

I can't understand why a leader would attract so many unfounded personal attacks, especially from Brits.
I wonder if it's got anything to do with him being extremely rich? Nah, it couldn't be that. |

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has quit, reportedly in protest at a shake-up of the communications team.
Mr Spicer stepped down because he was unhappy with President Donald Trump's appointment of a new communications director, reports the New York Times. Combative Wall Street financier Anthony Scaramucci has been picked for the role that Mr Spicer partially filled. Mr Spicer's press briefings were a cable news hit, but he withdrew from camera in recent weeks. |

Character assassination is a key tactic of the left. If someone has concerns about immigration or a particular religion, has views about women or sexual preferences that don't agree with theirs, they will label him, it's what pc terms are for. Trump being the highest profile person of the right in the western world has to be demonised, no surprise there. |
|
By:
Nothing to do with left or right but about right & wrong.
Huge numbers of people on the right think he's not fit for office. |

Come on Foinavon,
Crippen was being a dicke, you are far more intelligent than that. Shirley you don't think we are jealous of him and all his money? It has been riveting tv since he announced his canditure! Trump being the highest profile person of the right in the western world has to be demonised, no surprise there. The Leader of the Free World openly described how he grabed women by the pussay and says he got away with it because he was famous. What character is being assainated? |
|
By:
The politics of envy in all its glory.
|
|
By:
I wasn't making value judgements, I was answering Dr Crippen's question. I mentioned nothing of the politics of envy.
