Yesterday I bought a DVD off AMAZON ....and deliberately tried to avoid "signing up to AMAZON PRIME" ...but these sneaky BStards somehow managed to sign me up.
To cancel has just taken me about 30 minutes of phucking about on their site.
They make as difficult as possible with vague misleading instructions for you to cancel ...BStards !
Anybody else been conned in this way ?

No, but whilst you're here have you ever been injured in an accident that wasn't your fault?

Easily done on the delivery options.  I've been using a locker in a supermarket and been getting next day delivery for £2.  Worth it if you want it quick but don't want Prime.

Amazon prime is ok but it has its problems.

I often find that the very premis of paying an annual subscription to receive deliveries of next working day at no extra cost is completely lost, with the exact same products being more expensive if purchased through prime retailers.

I don't care what excuse they make about why this might happen, it's the end result that makes the point....if you pay more to receive a next day delivery then prime is not working.

The notion that prime comes with a video service is also bizarre, who matched those two needs together?
Ofc we know the answer, it was an algorithm based on a per profit analysis.

I had a problem recently, I needed an air mouse that you use away from the desk, so I found the one I wanted and the cheapest available was 30% cheaper non prime but would take several days to arrive.
I'm an old hand with Amazon and have come to be prepared on occasion to pay more for next day even though as explained above its counter productive.
Next day came and went and then I was told it wouldn't arrive for another four days, so the prime here was an over charge of 30%.
I rang them with the intention of getting a credit on the account for this, but I had to go around the houses to get it.
The CS woman offered me a 'free month' prime.
Utter garbage, prime is taken on a rolling annual basis, it would simply have meant my payment month be one month later and I'd not feel the benefit, since I could go a whole month and never use it anyway.
She didn't understand so I requested the manager, who understood much faster and gave me 50% refund.

The point is they will try anything nowadays to give you nothing as they maximise return.
Odious feckers.
