I believe it, 1/2 a kilo a week here.

Just try decaf, that should tell you enough about coffee.

Just 250 grams a week for me, saddo.
Forget chemically treated decaf and industrially stewed and reconstituted instant gravy, make the real thing.
Adding milk, cream or sugar will only make you fat and clog your arteries, drink it neat.

Let me tell you all a story. A man goes to his doctor and says " Doc, I want to live forever." Doc says "Give up coffee, alcohol, driving, smoking, sitting at the computer all day, gambling and sex." Man says" OK doc, if I give up all these things, will I live forever?" Doc says " No, but it will feel like it!" QED

good joke

I used to like boiling a pint of milk add a lot of coffee, plenty of sugar.
tasted great - but now i'd avoid the stuff. (stomach noises got so bad i thought i'd swallowed a little creature?)

switched to tea, but i noticed (now I'm fifty and falling apart)that drinking 3 pints of tea a day was causing terrible stomach acid.
It must be diluting the stomach acid. So I've cut the tea down to one pint glass a day.
It's not really acid, that's fueling the propaganda, it's lack of stomach acid, that causes
acid reflux. It's lactic acid you get. Real stomach acid coming up would burn the esophagus. All these people throwing down anti acids is ridiculous.

I'm off to make a pint o tea, no sugar, some lemon juice? damn this fasting.
