Its literally an epidemic here in Hornchurch(Essex).A woman was robbed at 9am Saturday morning as she was filling up at a BP garage and a group of 10 of the fckers egged a cars windscreen last week forcing the driver to stop and he was also robbed.As you know the police can't chase them as they throw their helmets to the ground.What a horrible lawless society we live in.

By law, you can use any "tool" usually found in a car to defend yourself. A knife is not usually found in a car, but a whopping great krooklock is. Has no one thought about defending oneself? Or do you stand back and say please take all my valuables and enjoy using my credit cards.

Too much hand-wringing over the rights of criminals. If they throw their helmets away then they choose to endanger their lives; it shouldn't be an effective tactic to avoid a police pursuit. When caught, tried and found guilty they should be imprisoned in single cells and made to work. They can have books but no electronic devices. Food should be the minimum required and no-thrills. Make the punishments fearsome instead of a badge of honour.

I think you are supposed to give up anything, to anyone who demands it these days Dr. Society is regressing, because it was not the done thing when I grew up, people would not accept it.
